  • Online backup for availability and recovery of data.

You get the award-winning Red Hat Linux operating system, with Red Hat-tested 2.4 kernel, XFree86 4.0.3 for improved 3D graphics, Linux applications, Apache application, PowerTools applications, and a FREE Software Manager subscription, delivered to you through Red Hat Network. The Software Manager service provides an extended set of support features with real-time reliability, for use throughout your organisation's network.

PostgreSQL is a powerful and trusted relational database management system (DBMS), currently installed at over 20,000 sites worldwide. Advanced during the last 25 years at UC Berkeley and in the open source community, PostgreSQL has most of the features present in commercial DBMS's, like transactions, subselects, triggers, views, foreign key referential integrity, and sophisticated locking. PostgreSQL also contains other advanced features like user-defined types, inheritance, rules, and multi-version concurrency control to reduce lock contention.

Red Hat Database gives you the performance you'd expect from database management systems costing a lot more, including these features:

  • Database Object: multiple index types, materialised views, large object support
  • SQL-Related: triggers, referential integrity, joins (inner/outer/left/right), OLAP, scrollable cursor functionality, SQL 92 level compliance
  • Database Recovery: online backup, rollback, row/column locking, native database backup and restore
  • Utilities: importing/exporting data, GUI/text installer, Java-JDC/JSQL/stored procedures, ODBC/JDBC interface

And, of course, there is complete documentation and unlimited installation/configuration customer and technical support for 30 days for both Red Hat Linux and Red Hat Database.

If you're interested in expanded service options, Red Hat has a flexible package for every size business and your needs.
