Next Previous Contents 9. Authentication modules In many situations (subscription services, sensitive information, private areas), user authentication is required. Apache includes basic authentication support. Additional authentication modules exist that connect Apache to existing security frameworks or databases, including: NT Domain controller, Oracle, mySQL, PostgresSQL, etc. The LDAP modules are specially interesting, as they allow integration with company and enterprise wide existing directory services.
